Novella Review: Narrow Escape by Virginia Vaughan

Narrow Escape by Virginia Vaughan is an amazing novella. I have to admit that I do not read many novellas. For some reason, full length novels appeal more to me. I think it is because novellas tend to have characters that are not as well developed. Well, Virginia Vaughan has become a new favorite author of mine so I had to make an exception. I am so glad that I did! This novella does not read like a novella--- it immediately sucks you into the story with well developed characters and crazy levels of suspense. I read a lot of suspense and have a high tolerance for this genre. I think that this novella, with its descriptions of torture, could be triggering for some people. If you are comfortable with suspense and read it often, it would probably be fine for you. I loved this story and found the plot to be really interesting with twists that I did not expect. I highly recommend this novella to readers of intense suspense. I received a digital copy of this novella from the author with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
