My Thoughts

You Belong with Me by Tari Faris is the author's amazing debut novel. This book has it all-- romance, past hurts, broken relationships, and a search for faith. Linking it all is an overarching sense of hope and the need for a place to belong.  The characters are interesting and have great depth.  My favorite character might just be a quirky hippopotamus statue named Otis that appears at the most opportune times! I can't say enough about this novel. It is a strong debut novel by a clearly talented author who expertly weaves together a plot that ties everything together beautifully. I can't wait for book 2 in this series because I have grown to care about these characters and can't wait to hear what happens next in their lives. I highly recommend this novel.
